Terms & Conditions

Victoria is happy to discuss any of the following conditions with you.

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE:

PLEASE READ TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE CAREFULLY.

 

1. AGREEMENT

Payment of the booking fee is acknowledgement & acceptance of these terms by the client.

 

2. BOOKINGS & CONFIRMATION

Bookings are taken on a first come, first serve basis. We cannot hold your booking open without confirmation and payment of the booking deposit, non-payment may result in losing the date to another party.

 

2.1  For weddings and school balls & all other special events a booking deposit is required to hold your booking and is deducted from the total. The balance is payable by bank transfer two weeks before the event date.

 

2.2 For commercial bookings, (i.e. corporate makeovers) email confirmation is acceptable and full payment required within 7 days.

 

3. PAYMENT TERMS

3.1 For non-commercial bookings i.e. weddings, a non-refundable booking fee is to be paid to secure your date. The balance of payment must be paid two weeks prior to your wedding.

 

3.2 Fees quoted do not include unknown additional costs or any other unique or special requirements that are not made known to us at the time of the original quote -i.e. parking expenses, false eyelashes etc.

 

3.3 Payments can be made by bank deposit. Credit card facilities are not available – however you can pay with your credit card using your online banking. You may pay off your balance on a monthly basis if you prefer.

 

3.4 Prices quoted are valid for 14 days from the quotation date and are subject to changeafter this time has elapsed.

 

4. CANCELLATION POLICY

 

4.1 The booking deposit is non-refundable & non-transferable for any reason if a booking is cancelled.

Weddings: If you cancel your booking because you, or a member of your party has COVID-19,  you will not be eligible for a refund of your deposit.

 

4.2 In the unlikely event that we cancel your booking for unforeseen or unavoidable reasons, all monies paid (other than the trial fee) shall be refunded to you.

 

5. CHANGES TO NUMBER OF FACES

 

5.1  If there is a reduction of people requiring our services 4 weeks or less before your event, you will still be charged for those people. It is best to find replacements. 

 

5.2 Bridal parties must include the bride for makeup.


6. GENERAL DISCLOSURES, COVID19 & OTHER HEALTH CONDITIONS  *Please see further guidelines at foot of page

 

6.1 You acknowledge that services provided involve the application of skin products directly to the relevant parts of the face & body & therefore agree that you have disclosed any & all medical or other conditions known to you which a reasonable person would disclose, including but not limited to Viruses such as COVID19, SARS, Herpes, Hepatitis & other such viruses/conditions/diseases.

Skin sensitivity, conditions such as active herpes (cold sores) & general allergies for yourself & the other people who are receiving services.

In doing so, you agree that we are not liable for & will indemnify us from any & all claims, liabilities, costs, loss, & causes of action relating to personal injury or death arising directly or indirectly as a result of your failure to disclose pertinent information relating to medical or other conditions.

 

6.1Moving Makeup reserves the right to refuse to work with someone who presents with a contageous disease or virus (Covid, SARS.etc) or transmitable infection or condition such as those named above.

 

6.2 Moving Makeup can refuse to use your own makeup products or tools.

 

7. SURCHARGES

A surcharge of $50 applies for early starts of 6am or before

 

8. SUPPLIER RECOMMENDATIONS

Referrals are based entirely on experience, attitude, talent & skills of suppliers we recommend. Services of 3rd party suppliers are entirely their responsibility & we accept no liability.

 

9. UNABLE TO ATTEND

If we are unable to service your booking, all attempts will be made to send an alternative makep artist / hairstylist to you, who will be fully briefed on your look & the products required. If we are unable to find an artist to fulfil your booking, 100% of services paid will be refunded, (not including your trial fee).

 

10. PHOTOGRAPHS/ IMAGES

10.1 All photographs taken by us are the property of Victoria Edwards & Moving Makeup & may be used for marketing purposes on social media or in print.

Any objections to this must be made known to Moving Makeup. We always seek your permission for use of images for clients who are under 18.  

 

10.2 In the event you have hired a professional photographer, you kindly agree to credit Moving Makeup where appropriate. Moving Makeup will credit any photographer’s work where known.

 

11. TERMS & CONDITIONS UPDATES

The above mentioned terms and conditions may change at any time. You may request the most up-to-date version of terms and conditions from Victoria or refer to this page.

 

12. PRICE LIST

The pricelist may change without prior notice.

 

13. PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIALITY

Your personal details remain confidential and will not be disclosed to a third-party, before, during or after your special event.

 

14. COVID-19 SAFETY – ADDITIONAL TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

1.1  For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions of Service, we, us, our, artist/s and stylist/s refer to Moving Makeup and our contracted stylists who are providing either hair and/or makeup services. Client, you and your refers to the person receiving our services.

 

1.2  Once service commences by Moving Makeup, this form constitutes a binding agreement between the client (you) and Moving Makeup and/or our contracted stylist. 

1.3 Moving Makeup reserves the right to alter these Terms and Conditions of Service and will notify you, the client, of any changes in writing.

2.0  CLIENT SERVICE CONDITIONS

2.1  The client may need to consent to a contactless body temperature check before service commences.

2.2  The client may need to sanitise hands with provided hand sanitiser before engaging in the artists working area.

2.3  The client  cannot bring drinks, phones or any other item/s within the artists working area unless agreed by the artists prior.

2.4  The client MUST NOT touch the artist, their tools, items or equipment under any circumstance unless directed by the artists.

2.5  The client is advised not to touch or physically interact with any other person/s other than Moving Makeup Artist/s while they are being serviced within the artists working area.

2.6  The client MUST disclose to Moving Makeup artist/s of any travel taken outside Western Australia within the last 14 days.

2.7  The client MUST disclose to Moving Makeup artist/s if been in contact with anyone who has tested positive to COVID-19.

2.8  The client MUST disclose to Moving Makeup artist/s if presented with any flu like symptoms, sore throat, cough, fever or shortness of breath within the last 48 hours.

2.9 Moving Makeup reserves the right to refuse service to any and all clients who refuse to adhere to the above mandatory conditions of service. A refund is not applicable under any circumstance if service is refused due to breach of the conditions of service or Moving Makeup feels at risk of infection.
